Glossary
Gren - the term for a female dragon.
Drake - the term for a male dragon.
Riuriu - the Draconic word for 'dracling'. The word is onomatopaeic, imitating the mewling of the babies.

Sext - Midday prayers.
Vespers - Evening prayers.

In the middle ages, time was kept far less exactly by the layman, who used the prayer-bells of the church to keep track. The day was divided into eight prayers; there's more on this here: http://www.troynovant.com/Farrell-A/Essays/Medieval-Timekeeping.html .
